GOOD NEWS: Woman Saves Toddler Found Hanging From Roof Gutter

Jill Harper was driving home in Sandusky, Ohio last week when she saw something you don’t see everyday: a baby hanging from the roof gutter of a house. She quickly jumped out of her car and ran over to try to help the toddler.

Harper knocked on the door, but no one answered. When the tot let go of the gutter, she was there to catch him. The 18-month-old little guy wasn’t hurt and police say he got around a security gate and up to the second floor, where he climbed through a partially open window onto the roof - all while his mom was using the bathroom!

The mother wasn’t charged and everyone involved is happy Harper was in the right place at the right time. “I am just thankful that she realized something was wrong and jumped out,” said Detective Sgt. Kevin Youskievicz of the Sandusky Police Department. “She ought to be considered a hero.”
