An Amazon delivery man had just dropped off a package of dog food to Richard Guttfield’s home in England when he realized his 11-month-old miniature schnauzer Wilma was missing. He and his daughter tried to reach the online retailer for help, but “in desperation,” he even emailed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos for help.
Guttfield says the self-employed driver was tracked down by Amazon and Wilma was found at the driver’s home. A spokesperson for Amazon says "We take these matters seriously and this individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages for the independent delivery service provider."
And the grateful dog owner is just happy Wilma is back home with her brother Fred. "We were absolutely desperate," Guttfield says of his efforts to get his pet back. "We never realised how much of an effect losing Wilma would have.
