GOOD NEWS: Cashier Helps Woman Escape Suspected Kidnappers

During Savannah Pritchett’s shift at the Triple R Gas and Mart in Waterford, California, a young woman ran in asking for help. She told Pritchett she was being kidnapped and that the men had sexually assaulted her and that she told them she had to use the restroom so they pulled over at the gas station.

The woman explained that she was kidnapped in Fresno and held overnight and Pritchett gave her a phone and told her to lock herself in the bathroom and call 911. Deputies arrived with guns drawn and arrested three suspects and found two guns.

“Her being able to get this victim into a secured restroom with a phone and being able to contact law enforcement very well may have saved her life,” says Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Tom Letras.
