GOOD NEWS: Vending Machine Dispenses Clean Clothes And Blankets For Free

There’s a new vending machine in Muncie, Indiana, but it doesn’t have sodas or junk food inside. This thing is filled with things people in need really need to survive cold weather: blankets, socks, and winter clothing. And the best part? It’s all free to those who need it most, the homeless community.

Installed outside a local fire department to serve the 200 or so people without permanent homes in Delaware County, those who want to use it have to first register with the charity organization Bridges Community Services. Then they’re given free tokens to use at the vending machine to get what they need discreetly no matter what time of day or night it is.
