AMY’S BLOG: Why You Need to Buy a Lacrosse Ball ASAP

I’m obsessed with my lacrosse ball…and not because of the game…I have no clue how to play lacrosse. However…I do use my ball almost every day to ease aches and pains! A few of my girlfriends were asking me how to use it…so I thought I’d do a quick little post my favorite ways to relieve tension.

HAMSTRING ISSUES:

Do like I’m doing in the video above. Sit in a chair. Place the lacrosse ball on your hammy where it hurts. Press your leg down on the chair and move it all around. Feels so good!!!

GOT GLUTE PAIN??

Standing up against a wall…rest the lacrosse ball between your glute and the wall. Press your glute into the wall and move in circular motion around the area. Again…feels SO GOOD!

LOWER BACK TIGHTNESS:

Lie on your back with knees bent 90 degrees (I use my couch or a chair to bend my legs over to help keep them 90 degrees). Rest hands on the floor to the side body. Raise your back and place the ball directly under the stressed area…slowly lower your weight back onto the ball. Lay there for 3-5 minutes (but no longer).

WHEN YOUR ‘CARPAL TUNNEL’ FLAIRS UP:

I’m not really sure if I legit have carpal tunnel…but it sure feels like it sometimes. So…if you have similar pains… place the ball on a desk or other flat surface and rest your forearm over the ball. Press your forearm into the ball and run it over the ball.

IF YOU WORE HIGH HEELS FOR TOO LONG:

When I wear heels for too long or if my feet are just sore…I place the lacrosse ball under the arch of my bare foot and begin rolling over it. I do this while watching TV…feels amazing.
