GOOD NEWS: UConn’s HuskyTHON Raises Over $1M

This year’s University of Connecticut HuskyTHON fundraiser was their biggest one yet. They reached their million-dollar goal and set a new record for the annual event that benefits the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Thousands of students come out for the dance marathon that starts Saturday night and ends at noon Sunday. Patients and families from Connecticut Children’s come out to dance every year and parents say it’s the one day their little one gets to “just be a kid.”

Organizers confirm that this year’s HuskyTHON raised $1,021,485, which is a whole lot more than the $13,878 they raised at the first one in 2000. To find out more about HuskyTHON, click here.
