It pays to listen to mom, at least it did for a Virginia Lottery player who says he won a $100,000 jackpot when he followed advice from his mother. Brandon Pree was visiting his mom when she asked him to play the Cash 5 game with family birthdays as the numbers.
When Pree followed mom’s wishes, he matched all five numbers and won the 100-grand. “The first thing I did was call my mother,” he says. “She started screaming.”
Since mother knows best, this mom expects a little compensation for her winning advice. “Hopefully he’ll share with me since I told him to play,” Pree’s mom says.
