Firefighters Adopt Puppy

Firefighter Rescue Then Takes Home Puppy - A Utah firefighter is taking a furry friend he rescued from the California wildfires home.

Draper City firefighter Patrick McCullen found a German shepherd huddled under a tree during the raging Mendocino Complex Fire. He got the pup out and it spent three hours under the fire truck while McCullen battled the blaze. He decided to adopt the dog after it received medical treatment and ended up naming him Mendo.

The Mendocino County Animal Shelter said the Draper City Fire Department recently lost one of their firefighters, Chief Matt Burchett, in the fire fight and Mendo will help them heal. Source: Desert News
