GOOD NEWS: Community Stepped Up to Help Pregnant Mom

A community in Richmond, Virginia, stepped in to help a pregnant mother whose been living without a heat and air conditioning.

Several months ago, Teresa Steele said someone in her neighborhood had damaged her home's HVAC unit and the insurance company wouldn’t cover the expenses. Apparently the thief stole copper off the unit to sell, leaving Teresa stuck with a $6,000 repair bill.

After asking several organizations for help – with no luck – Teresa called the local news problem solvers hotline. Once the story aired, her phone blew up with gracious offers and encouraging messages. And when the crew from River City Heating showed up to replace her unit for free, Teresa cried tears of joy.

“You never know who's out there listening to you," Teresa said. "You have to have faith... and have to believe that the more you spread your love, someone will have love to spread back to you.”
