Due to a typo in an email, a Phoenix man named Will Novak got an invitation that was meant for another Will Novak to attend a ski weekend bachelor party in Vermont. The invite asked him to RSVP to “Angelo’s” party and he responded to explain the error, joking that he’d come anyway. But to Novak’s surprise, the group of guys took him up on it.
“We don’t know if you’re serious, but we’re serious,” they told him. So Novak asked his Facebook friends if he should actually go and when they gave him the thumbs up, he got his wife’s okay and made plans to go meet his new buddies at the bachelor party.
Novak even set up a GoFundMe to cover his travel expenses to attend celebrate with a bunch of total strangers and it’s raised over $3,100, way more than the $750 goal. And get this - when Novak learned that Angelo and his soon-to-be-bride are expecting their first child, he agreed to donate any leftover money from the GoFundMe campaign to the newlyweds.
"At this point, if I don't get invited to be his child's godfather, I'll be livid," Novak jokes.
By the way, this isn't the first time something like this has happened!!!
