First comes love.
Around this time a year ago, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's romance seemed like nothing more than juicy speculation. Now, the certified lovebirds, whose relationship took off with a surprise engagement and ended in a royal wedding in India within less than a year, are taking a trip down memory lane back to their first date.
This Saturday (May 25) marked the anniversary of when the couple's love story began at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl, where the couple attended a showing of Beauty and the Beast Live in Concert. Jonas took to Instagram to celebrate and reminisce on the fateful day he shared with the woman who would become his future wife. (Warning: have Kleenex on hand.)
"One year ago today, I went to go see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl with a group of friends," the 26-year-old crooner wrote with a romantic photo from their visit to the Cannes Film Festival last weekend. "One of those friends was the woman that would become my best friend, my confidant, my muse, my beautiful wife."
"I am so grateful for our journey together so far," he continued. "You make me smile every day, and you inspire me to be the best version of myself. I am honored to be your husband. I love you."
Whispers of the pair's love affair started when they arrived as each other's date at the Met Gala in 2017. They became engaged in July 2018 and exchanged vows in an extravagant, three-day wedding ceremony the following December. If you've yet to see any of the wedding photos yourself — find them here!
