Miranda Lambert’s ‘Wildcard’ Is The Album She Needed

Miranda Lambert is nearing the end of her ‘Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour,’ alongside Maren Morris, Tenille Townes, and Ashley McBryde. As a capstone to an epic year, the entertainer delivered a new album, ‘Wildcard’, on November 1.

How does touring and live shows effect Miranda’s writing? Cody Alan got the scoop!

“I really thought about my live show when writing this one,” shared Miranda during her interview. “I knew what I wanted to do live. I kind of had this energy that I needed to get out. I needed to write toward that.”

The “Vice” singer went on to share that ‘Wildcard’ is the album that SHE needed to write, “I would always find a cover or something to fill that space. I just thought, “I don’t need a cover. I just need to write it.” So, like, “Locomotive,” for instance, or “Mess With My Head,” or “White Trash.” Those three are songs that I needed to put in the set. Songs that I needed to feel LIVE.”

‘Wildcard’ marks Miranda’s seventh studio album. Even as a seasoned artist, Miranda shared that this album holds a special meaning, and she hopes her fans will connect with her message. “This is a record that is probably a little easier to listen to than my last one, as far as, if you don’t want to go into an emotional hole,” she laughs. “But, I think I have something for every kind of feel, and the takeaway that I take from it is that truly, it “All Comes Out In The Wash.”

Miranda kicks off her 30-date ‘Wildcard Tour’ in 2020, starting on January 16 in Tupelo, Mississippi, with Lanco, Cody Johnson, Randy Rogers Band, and Parker McCollum will open on select dates. Keep up with Miranda on the road by visiting www.MirandaLambert.com.
