Maren Morris Releases 'The Bones,' 'The Middle' And 'Girl' Reimagined

Maren Morris has released stripped down versions of several of her hit songs including "Girl" "The Bones," and "The Middle." The reimagined tracks officially dropped on Friday (July 31).

"Girl," which is the lead single and title track of Morris' second studio album, earned the country star her third No. 1 single. "Girl" was followed by "The Bones" which reached the top of the charts in February 2020.

Before releasing her Girl album, Morris collaborated with EDM hitmakers Zedd and Grey in 2018 for "The Middle." The song was a huge success and became an instant summer anthem for fans everywhere, ascending to the No. 5 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Now, Morris has totally reimagined each of these hit songs in a creative way. Her flawless, powerful vocals take each track to a new level that fans will love. Each new acoustic rendition can be heard in the videos below.

"Girl" "The Bones," and "The Middle" reimagined comes months after Morris shared two previously unreleased songs, "Just For Now" and "Takes Two."

The first track called "Just For Now" was written by Morris alongside her husband, Ryan Hurd and late producer Busbee, during sessions for her debut album Hero. The second, "Takes Two," come from the original recording sessions for Girl and was co-written by Morris with Sarah Aarons and Greg Kurstin.

For the upcoming ACM Awards, Morris leads among all nominees with five nods including Album of the Year for Girl, Female Artist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for joining Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack and Elle King on "Fooled Around and Fell in Love." Her fifth nomination is Group of the Year as a member of the female super group, The Highwomen.

Originally, the ACM Awards were supposed to take place on April 5, 2020, however due to the coronavirus pandemic they were moved to September 16, 2020. The show, hosted by reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban, will air live on CBS at 8 PM ET from Nashville, Tennessee.
