An Army soldier stationed in Germany surprises his family when he unexpectedly shows up to a family dinner. Army PrivateTyrel Milleris stationed in Germany and hasn’t seen his family since May. The young soldier was scheduled to come back to the states in January for his graduation, but thanks to a plan hatched in secret with his mother, Tyrel was able to come home to be with his family for Christmas.
Tyrel’s momMichelle Millerpicked him up from the airport on Friday and when the family gathered at a restaurant on Saturday to dine together and receive a call from Tyrel from overseas, he surprised the group by showing up in person. Avideoof the touching moment shared online shows the tearful reunion. "Are you kidding me?" one family member asks as others cheer Tyrel’s arrival.
The young man is glad to be home with family and says being separated from them has been tough. "It gets hard, because you're away from home. Especially for every other holiday. You're missing the birthdays, everything and watching the family grow up. So that's the hardest part." Tyrel says. And then adds, "being here with the family is really good."
