Kelsea Ballerini “may or may not have just accidentally teased a little bit of a new song on TikTok.”

Ballerini shared a sneak peek of “WAIT!,” a song from her upcoming album, Patterns, that she previously described as a “bop.” The singer-songwriter shared a snippet of the unreleased track on TikTok on Tuesday evening (October 1) “for all my codependent with our independence girlies.” Commenters said they’re “ready to scream sing this one,” pointed out Ballerini’s dog, Dibs, in the background, gushed over the Taylor Swift vibes and more.

Ballerini noted in a video on her Instagram story, however, that this “is not the one that’s coming out before the record. It’s just one that I’m very excited about.”

One more song will release before Patterns arrives at the end of this month. Ballerini shared several photos on Instagram on Tuesday with a hint at the next song to make its debut. Many commenters guessed “First Rodeo,” though Ballerini has not confirmed it as of publication time on Wednesday (October 2). So far, she’s released “Cowboys Cry Too” with Noah Kahan, “Sorry Mom” and “Two Things” — which she performed on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage during the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards — from her fifth studio album.

Ballerini will celebrate her album release with a “one night only” headlining show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 29. The lineup also features sister duos Aly & AJ and Tigirlily Gold. The show sold out “immediately,” Ballerini said as she celebrated her birthday on September 12. However, iHeartRadio is holding a contest to attend the concert and catch up with Ballerini in a backstage meet and greet. “The whole time I was making this album, I was visualizing and dreamscaping ways to bring it to life for our live show, and it was something I couldn't wait more than five days after its release to do,” Ballerini said in a statement. “When good things happen, when new chapters begin, you want to share them with your people. This time around, it just so happens to be in a bucket list venue in the heart of a city that is landmarked heavily in the music and visuals of PATTERNS. I'm so giddy to be celebrating this album release at Madison Square Garden...see you in New York City!”

Patterns is due to arrive on October 25.
