Thomas Rhett On Why He Dropped "Be A Light" During Coronavirus Outbreak

Thomas Rhett just celebrated his 30th birthday in quarantine with his family, but he also dropped a gift to the world with his new single "Be A Light." The song features Rhett's friends and fellow artists Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum, and Chris Tomlin.

Rhett shared that the song was actually written a year ago and he has always wanted to write a song lie this. For a long time, he and his producers sat on the song, waiting to decide what to do with it. Then the idea came along to put some of his friends and fellow artists on it. When everything started happening with the coronavirus outbreak, the decided it was "a pristine time" to put out some positivity in the world with this song. He told Bobby Bones that one thing is for certain in any situation, people can be positive, loving, and happy, even during a national crisis.

Continuing that positivity, Rhett says he didn't expect 30 to look like this as he's getting forced down time, but he is using it to focus on his family and getting creative with his young girls.
