Carrie Underwood's Powerhouse Performance Closes CMT 'Artists of the Year'

Carrie Underwood knows how to celebrate decades of country music divas!

Closing the CMT’s 'Artists of the Year' show with a mashup for the ages, Carrie began with a brilliant acapella performance of Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man” before transitioning into Dolly Parton’s classic, “9 to 5” alongside Runaway June and Maddie & Tae.

Maddie & Tae gave a fresh take on The Judds’ classic “Rockin’ With the Rhythm of the Rain” and the songstresses seamlessly transitioned to pay tribute to the musical icon, Martina McBride with “Independence Day”.

Runaway June belted Faith Hill’s “Wild One” and the show carried away with full energy as they performed Reba McEntire’s “Why Haven’t I Heard From You” and got sassy with a Shania Twain cover of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”

The mom-to-be stopped everyone in their tracks with her flawless belt, singing her current chart-topping  power ballad, “Cry Pretty.”

A night of powerhouse performances shouldn’t be missed. Catch Carrie’s ‘Cry Pretty Tour 360’ Feat Runaway June and Maddie & Tae. Tickets can be found HERE.
