Jon Potter has a unique superpower: saying yes to anyone who asks for help. The Pittsburgh man has been agreeing to assist for almost four years, saying yes to everyone and has done everything from cat sitting to helping people move to giving rides in the middle of the night.
But his biggest act of kindness has been donating a kidney to a stranger online. Potter saw a photo of fellow Pittsburgh resident Michael Moore on Instagram with a sign asking for a kidney donation. Moore’s kidneys were failing and he needed a transplant and after being tested, Potter was found to be a match and six months later, he gave his kidney to Moore.
"It's amazing what kind of energy you have whenever you say yes all the time," Moore says. "I can't even describe it."
