World Record is BROKEN

A Canadian man has set a new Guinness World Record by planting more than 23-thousand trees in 24 hours. Guinness World Records has confirmed a new world record for 23-year-old Quebec man Antoine Moses for the most trees planted in one day.

Moses beat the previous record from 2001 of 15-thousand 170 trees by planting 23-thousand 60 trees in 24 hours. The amateur athlete, who has competed in several marathons and is currently training for a triathlon, treats the tree planting like a sport and averaged about one tree every 3.5 seconds for the full day. "That's about 16 trees a minute," he says.

He says it’s been a lifelong dream of his to hold the record and he was also motivated by the memory of a friend who passed away. "I lost a friend of mine,” Moses says. “I kind of did that for her." To date, he’s planted more than 1-million trees across Canada.
