It's Puppy Palooza on college campus

Youngstown State University (YSU) in Ohio recently tested the theory that puppies can alleviate stress by hosting an event called Puppy Palooza. Dogs were brought to the campus and stationed outside The Rec Center for students to interact with.

Students got a chance to enjoy some puppy therapy in between their studies. They found it helpful in reducing the stress of final exams. The pups were on loan from the local shelter New Leash on Life Rescue in nearby Struthers.

One of the students who stopped by some puppy therapy was Sarah Nadzan. "They just brought a bunch of dogs we can love on and I am having the best time of my life right now," the telecommunications major said. YSU and New Leash on Life hold Puppy Palooza twice a year, during spring and fall exams. The event aims to provide a fun and relaxing atmosphere for students during the stressful exam period and the puppies seem to enjoy the attention and affection as well.
