GOOD NEWS: This Girl Scout Gets Boxes Donated To Cops

When Madison Williams saw the local news story about fallen officer Justin Billa, the nine-year-old from Mobile, Alabama was touched and wanted to do something to bring a smile to his fellow officers at the third precinct. So the Girl Scout decided boxes of cookies could help.

Madison is a cookie-selling pro. Last year, she was the top seller in her region with 2,150 boxes. This year, she set up what looks like a regular cookie stand. However, she’s asking folks to buy a box not for themselves, but for her to donate to the police officers who lost one of their own. Her goal is to raise 100 boxes and she’s off to a good start.

“I’m just happy to be supporting the community,” the little girl explains. “I’m just happy to be helping out.”
