GOOD NEWS: Cali Group Sends Pizza To Striking Teachers In West Virginia

West Virginia teachers and staff who are on strike are getting some support from California. Lita Blanc, head of an educator’s association in San Francisco, started a GoFundMe campaign to raise donations to send pizza to striking educators across the country in Charleston, West Virginia.

Blanc started "Pizzas for West Virginia Teachers" on Sunday March 4, and they’ve raised more than $13,700 so far of their $15,000 goal. The money will go toward buying pizza and water for thousands of educators who are protesting at the state capitol. The idea is that the food will help more folks stick around and rally to have their demands for better pay and insurance rates met.
