A huge gift from a tech startup has funded every single project on DonorsChoose, the site that lets you pick which public school classroom projects you want to donate to. San Francisco-based Ripple donated $29-million to the crowdfunding platform, and that money funded all 35,647 requests on the site.
DonorsChoose allows teachers to post requests for things their students and classrooms need and now they’re all getting them, thanks to Ripple’s generosity. “It’s a million students and teachers who are getting books, art supplies, field trips, robotics kits,” says Charles Best, founder of DonorsChoose.
