GOOD NEWS: NCAA builds 'Dream Court' In Columbus

Columbus, Ohio is hosting the Final Four basketball tournament this weekend and the NCAA is helping to make a lasting impact in the community. The city’s Beatty Park is now home to the Final Four Dream Court, which was gifted to Columbus from the NCAA.

“Our hope is that we can support the community in the way the community has supported our championship,” explains Lynn Holzman, NCAA vice-president of women’s basketball.

Former players, coaches, and pals of legendary North Carolina State women’s basketball coach Kay Yow also announced a $100,000 grant for women’s cancer research at the OSU James Cancer Hospital. The Kay Yow Fund donates $100,000 every year to a hospital in the Women’s Final Four host city in Yow’s memory since she died from breast cancer in 2008.
