Volunteers in San Antonio, Texas were busy over the weekend, measuring, cutting, sanding and drilling wood to create 20 bunk beds that’ll go to families in need. The San Antonio chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace worked with employees from Raba Kistner Inc., who helped raise $6,000 for materials and spent hours working to assemble the beds.
Eddie Arthur, president of the San Antonio chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace says some of the kids who will get these beds had been sleeping on the floor. The nonprofit has a goal of completing 500 beds by the end of the year.
