GOOD NEWS: Man Uses Jet Ski To Put Out Boat Fire

A Florida man who’s training to be a paramedic used a jet ski to splash water onto a boat that was on fire near a Sandbar. Bret Townsendposted a video to Facebook showing him riding it at a high speed toward the boat and turning at the last minute, causing a splash.

"My concern was the boat was going to blow off to the side,” Townsendexplains, “maybe catch something else on fire or get down into the fuel tank, maybe explode or leak oil into the water.”

He repeated the action a few times and it took about 10 minutes to totally put the fire out. When he graduates from paramedic school in July, Townsend hopes to get a job with Palm Beach Fire Rescue.
