GOOD NEWS: Craigslist Founder Donates $20M To Journalism School

Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist, says it’s important to build a sustainable future for journalism and he’s doing his part to help. He’s donating $20-million to the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism through Craig Newmark Philanthropies.

The institution will be renamed the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York. This donation isn’t the only one he’s made, Newmark has also given big bucks to other institutions devoted to journalism and he says he admires CUNY’s [[KYOO-neez]] “commitment to diversity and scholarship support.”
