In Arlington, Virginia, over 800 teens began their summer by helping others in need. They’re part of the annual WorkCamp project sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, where the week-long project includes more than 100 home improvement projects in the community.
Organizers say the mission behind WorkCamp is to encourage young people to live outside their comfort zones. For a week, teens work to fix up area homes for those in need. Some of their projects include painting a house and weatherproofing windows. This will be the 29th year WorkCamp has been improving the community as well as improving the lives of those involved.
