Fresno Sunrise Vitamins store recently celebrated its 35th anniversary, so owner Dave High ordered cupcakes and drinks to thank locals who’ve kept his business running. Sadly, no one showed up. But then Kayla Jackson came by the store, as she often does because her husband is a security guard at the shopping center, and she really turned Dave’s day around.
Kayla got busy using social media to get people to come out and give Dave and the vitamin shop a shout out for their anniversary. She tweeted explaining that the anniversary has been a really slow day and encouraged folks to call Dave or stop in to congratulate him and they did. People came by for cupcakes and calls rolled in from all over, including Colorado, Hawaii, and Mexico.
Dave told Kayla he “feels so strong now” after all the calls and visits and that he wants to keep the shop open for five more years. And she offered to help Dave with social media so he can use it to get the word out in the future.
