GOOD NEWS: Car Parade Makes Boy With Autism’s Bday Dream Come True

Rhian Peart knew exactly what the best birthday celebration for her son would be. Eddie loves cars, so she sent out a social media plea, trying to arrange a few cool cars to drive by their home in the U.K. “Calling all local car lovers,” her post started. “My autistic son Eddie is turning four and he loves cars.”

Peart says she only expected four or five cars to come out, but the birthday boy who’s “obsessed with anything with an engine” was thrilled when more than 150 cars drove past his home. Car clubs from all over Yorkshire, England formed a car parade that lasted 30 minutes and delighted the little guy.

“It was absolutely amazing and a complete surprise for Eddie,” Peart says. “It was incredible to see the whole community come together like that to make his dreams come true. It was the birthday present of a lifetime he was grinning from ear to ear.”
