GOOD NEWS: College Football Player’s Lemonade Stand Raises Nearly $50K

Back when he was a seventh grader, Ole Miss punter Mac Browndecided to raise money for a friend’s father who has been diagnosed with ALS. Now that he’s a college football player, the fundraiser has grown into the annual Awesome Lemonade Stands for HOPE and 2018’s raised nearly $50,000.

Between the lemonade stand on a corner in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and the online fundraiser, Brown’s charity has raised $48,105 for ALS research this year. “Originally it was just me and my buddies doing a lemonade stand,” the player says. “Now it’s communities coming together from all over. It’s awesome.”
