GOOD NEWS: Airline Employee Helps 86-Year-Old Fulfill Bucket List Dream

Vicky Chasse and her 86-year-old mother were on their way to Las Vegas to see one of her mom’s favorites, Latin pop singer Chayanne. But after missing their flight at the Nashville International Airport, the mother-daughter travelers thought they missed the chance to fulfill the mom’s dream since two last-minute, one-way tickets would have cost them over $1,000.

Thankfully, Vicky and her mother met a Southwest Airlines employee at the ticket counter who changed their luck. Christy heard their story and got to work to make sure Vicky could make her mom’s bucket list dream come true. Then she told them everything was taken care of for them and to enjoy the concert and it turns out, she ended up giving them two of her employee “buddy passes” so they could fly for free.

Vicky and her mother made it to Chayanne’s concert and had a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Now they want to thank Christy for her generosity and let her employer know how lucky they are to have her. "Southwest Airlines, you have a wonderful employee,” VIcky says. “She genuinely cares about people and her customer service skills were impeccable."
