The homecoming court at Grand Blanc High School has been elected and this year’s prince and princess of the sophomore class both happen to be on the autism spectrum. Adam Raysin and Meredith Sanford are 10th graders who had the support of their student body to vote for them to represent their grade.
Adam and Meredith say they’re both happy and excited for the honor and their mothers feel the same way. “This is something that, when you have kids with autism, you can only dream of,” explains Andrea Raysin, Adam’s mother.
“Thank you for voting for us,” Adam says. “It means so much to us.”
