Most babies don’t do a lot of traveling during their first few months of live, but little Harper Yates has been on the road. She’s only five-months-old and she’s already visited 40 states and counting.
Her parents, Tristan Yeats and Cindy Lim are from Canberra, Australia and planned to visit all 50 states eventually over time, but when they got to the U.S. and began their trip in Maine, they found out about the All Fifty States Club. Looking into it further, they realized their baby girl could become the youngest person to join and that motivated them to hit all 50 at once.
The family is on the last leg of their trip now and will finish in Vermont, number 50 on the list. They’ve had some obstacles along the way, but they’re proud of the journey. "Personally, when she looks back and what we achieved,” mom Cindy says, “I hope when she looks at the photos and I tell her all the stories, that she can have the confidence that she can do anything.”
