GOOD NEWS: Boy With Leukemia Donates Toys To Other Young Patients

When Ben Manzi was only six years old he was diagnosed with leukemia so he knows what it’s like to be a kid stuck in the hospital for treatment. And that’s why the now nine-year-old and his mom, Kati Otero, started Team BAM!, a group that delivers toys and games to young patients in the hospital.

Team BAM! Just finished their third toy drive and it was the biggest one so far. Ben and his group were able to deliver more than 1,000 toys to Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts. This kid is helping other sick kids, one toy at a time.
