With Christmas just two weeks away, the holiday didn’t seem like it was going to be merry and bright for a Michigan family. A mom in Galesburg had gifts for her nine-year-old child wrapped and under the Christmas tree when someone broke into their apartment and stole them.
The Michigan state police trooper who responded to the break-in contacted their outreach program for help. The State Trooper Outreach Program is made up of troopers and community members who help raise money for people in need and they were happy to help restore some Christmas cheer here.
The group replaced the little boy’s presents, which include Pokemon cards, Beyblades, and most special of all, a Lord Voldemort Harry Potter wand. Thanks to them, this kid should have a happy Christmas morning now.
