The Laughter Self Care Challenge is on according to the good doctor. Why should we take part? Because laughter is indeed the best medicine and it’s cheap. Here’s what laughter can do for your overall health:

  • Increased blood flow
  • Core muscle workout
  • Lowering of the stress hormones
  • Raising of the “feel good” endorphins

Dr. Ashton says not to take it seriously. Find what works for you. Alexa jokes, doing something silly, or watching funny videos can all be part of the challenge. You just need to laugh!

She also says go ahead and look at life like a child, from time to time! It will help you laugh and be happy. Let’s face it, who knows how to have fun more than children?
