Divorcee gives away Wedding Rings

After getting divorced,Christine Bonavitais doing something unique with her engagement ring and wedding band. The Virginia woman is celebrating the one-year anniversary of her split by giving away her rings to a couple in need who want them. She says she’s “gratefully divorced” and wants to pass on the jewelry she no longer needs.

Bonavita is taking submissions from interested folks and she says priority goes to LGBTQ, disabled people, minorities and first responders. “I just want to hear your story, just be honest and raw,” she explains. And the lucky winner she chooses will get the nearly two-carat engagement ring and wedding band, valued at close to $5-thousand, along with a matching men’s band, which she’ll give them on Valentine’s Day.

“I really believe in paying it forward and just being kind, especially with what is going on in the world today,” Bonavita says. ‘I am gonna be able to let go of it and have the same feelings that I had in receiving it which is excitement and happiness.”
