Grad Ceremony saved wuth Cell Phones

A Texas high school was thankful to be holding their graduation ceremony indoors last week when a powerful storm brought strong winds and hail to the area. But Bruceville-Eddy High School’s class of 2021 was left in the dark when the storm got so bad, the auditorium lost power. Luckily, the attendees knew just what to do to help.

Everyone in the audience pulled out their phones and used them to light up the room with individual flashlights. This created enough light in the auditorium that the graduation could go on. They might not have had air conditioning, but the grads were still able to get their diplomas. The audience cheered them on as they walked and the entire room later broke into song with a rendition of “God Bless America.”
