A determined bride didn’t let a little distance stand in the way of getting her “first dance” with her grandpa.Natalie Browningtied the knot this summer and wanted to dance with her grandfather,Nelson May, at the event. But two weeks before the big day, the 94-year-old had a stroke and wasn’t able to travel to be at the wedding.
So Natalie brought the dance to him. She flew from Virginia to his home in Florida, with her wedding gown in hand. When she arrived, she put on her dress and the pair shared a dance.
“For months he'd been so excited to dance with me on my wedding night and I'm just so happy that I was able to give him that experience,” Natalie explains. “I don't get to see him very often so it truly was a special day.”
