Carly Pearce is returning to host the 15th Annual ACM Honors for her second consecutive year, and before the pre-recorded show airs on Tuesday evening (September 13), the reigning Academy of Country Music Female Artist of the Year is reflecting on some of her favorite highlights.

The Academy of Country Music hosted the ACM Honors at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 24. Honorees that evening included Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, HARDY and many others. The star-studded list of performers included Pearce, Kelsea BalleriniDierks BentleyBrooks & DunnThe Warren BrothersDan + ShayJordan DavisERNESTVince GillHARDYWynonna JuddAvril LavigneLittle Big TownMorgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson.

“I loved Vince. He honored Stapleton, which just, anytime Vince Gill sings I die for,” Pearce said of the ACM Honors moments that stuck out as highlights to her. “Shania just in general, getting to see everybody and their performances. Kelsea doing the whole theatrical ‘Man I Feel Like A Woman’ and Tiera (Kennedy) getting to sing, and Avril Lavigne coming out and honoring her with ‘No One Needs to Know.’ I think just all of that, and then hearing Shania‘s take on that honor and on songwriting and that kind of stuff was really powerful just being another female. But I think that my favorite performance of the night was Brooks & Dunn honoring Miranda Lambert, singing ‘Kerosene.’“

Getting to host the show is a longtime dream for Pearce, who also said:

“I’ve always wanted to get into hosting. That’s been something that’s been so important to me, so to get to start to have these opportunities over the last couple years have been really exciting for me. I think being able to host two years in a row gave me a bit more confidence. But I do think it’s kind of exercising a different muscle, as far as, you’re in charge of keeping everything kind of moving cohesively through a show, in front of people that have influenced you your whole life. Especially this year looking out and seeing Shania Twain and kind of having a banter with her from the stage was really fun. It’s definitely a huge honor that I think if I wasn’t nervous would be a problem.”

The 15th Annual ACM Honors will make its return to television with its debut on FOX, set to air on Tuesday, September 13 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, according to the Academy of Country Music.

Pearce will be performing during the 2022 Daytime Stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 24th. Fans can tune in to stream live via iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the country across more than 150 markets, and watch via an exclusive national television broadcast special on The CW Network in October. Find available tickets here.
