Have You Ever Seen Height Charts At Dunkin Donuts?

It’s common to see a height chart at amusement parks because some kids have to be a certain size to go on rides, but apparently some Dunkins across the country also have height charts, and the Internet is shocked to find out the reason they are there.

A TikTok user named Jocelyn has gone viral for a video in which she spills the beans on the odd height charts on the doors at some Dunkin locations. In the post, she shows off the chart, with the voiceover saying, “Tell me your Dunkin has been robbed with out [sic] telling me they’ve been robbed… I’ll go first."

A report in Slate several years ago did confirm that those charts are there so employees and other witnesses could better describe the height of any possible criminals, but that was news to a lot of people on social media who were shocked.

  • “I was today years old when I learned that’s not to see how tall you are for fun," one person wrote, while another added, “WAIT THATS WHAT THATS FOR?!?!"
  • But there were some that were not too shocked by the revelation.
    • "Yup," one person wrote. "Alot [sic] of places (such as banks) have them so they can get a height description of the subject for the wanted posters/news.. etc!"
    • Another added, “Huh and I thought these were universal. Where I am they’re literally at every establishment with a register."
